Raspberry Pi 2 Model B OUT!

Soooo, after 3 years, the Raspberry Pi team release a new board!

Whats new on the RPi 2 board:
  • A 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU (~6x performance)
  • 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM (2x memory)
  • Complete compatibility with Raspberry Pi 1
Because it has an ARMv7 processor, it can run the full range of ARM GNU/Linux distributions, including Snappy Ubuntu Core, as well as Microsoft Windows 10. The Raspberry Pi 2-compatible version of Windows 10 will be available free of charge to makers.

RPi-ThinClient on Ubuntu and Windows 10?? Why not ;)

First RPi-TC release will be available soon as i'll receive the new board :)

  1. Indeed very nice. Combined with having 4 usb ports from the b+ hardware revision it is now more attractive to use as a thin client. At my work, we ended with NUCs a year ago. it would be nice to see if this new rpi works as well as an RDP client as a intel nuc board (which is like a laptop).

  2. Hi,

With this ARMv7 processor, we can run Vmware View Client with full PcoIP protocol?

    King Regards!

  3. Keep up the good work! Always happy to see new horizons travelled with a hand of a device :)
